In less than a week, the G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan turns 50-years-old (that is unfathomable to me) and ESPN is using the milestone to reflect on Jordan's career and the lasting impact he and his shoes made on American culture. My favorite pair is a tie between the Air Jordan 6s and the Air Jordan 11s. The 6s were my first pair ever, but the patent leather bottom on the 11s was hideous in the best way possible. I'll never forget how appalled some of the parents were that we wanted them as our team shoe in high school; that decision smoked-out on some racist mothers... Anyway, below is ESPN's tribute to His Airness. Nostalgia is at an all-time high.
